Rootworm gene, the populations of rootworms are so heavy that the initial feedings of the rootworms that kills them is enough to cause significant damage to the corn. Probably have to start adding at least a half-rate of insecticide to RW corn to prevent this in high infestation areas, probably will end up needing a full rate in the end.
