Too close to Raleigh, NC
Edelbrock Performer/Carter AFB carb - choke still works on my 78 Dodge W200 after 200K miles and about 20 years of intermittent use. Now that it sits most of the time (at 8 mpg on a good day I can't afford to drive it unless really needed) it still works like the day I put it on there.

The only thing you have to watch for is that the Edelbrock carbs do not like more than about 6-7 psi fuel inlet pressure. I had problems with one flooding on my Scout until I put a fuel pressure regulator on it. The old Dodge had an earlier Carter version and has never had the pressure issue.

We got rid of every Holley carburetor around here a long time ago except the one on my 1953 IH R-112.
