Subject: Harvesting variable corn

I have a couple farms that go from decent soil to sand hills. On the hills the corn is little ears with some corn on them, in the low spots the ears are nice and girthy. How is the best way to set the stripper plates when harvesting this type of corn? Close together to get all the ears, or farther apart to drop the small ears out? Thanks.

Eddie
