Here's how I calculate it for corn. Could be wrong.
151.4 cty ave x 2.59 spring price x .9 coverage level= 352.91
Actual cty ave 165 x your price estimate of 2.10 = 346.5
1 - (346.5 / 352.91) = .01816% revenue shortfall
protection level = (151.4x2.59x1.5) = 588.19
.01816 x 588.19 = 10.68 dollars per acre payment
