Subject: Spraying fungicides for straw quality

Leesburg, Ohio
Good discussion below on growing good wheat. My question here relates to maintaining straw color and quality. We bale a good bit of straw for the race track market. They want long straw, and we can give them that with a stripper header. They also want bright color, and we can give them that if the weather cooperates. SW Ohio weather being what it is, we often get a very narrow window for baling before the straw turns dark. Has anyone seen any benefit in maintaining better straw color/quality with the use of any type of fungicide or other treatment on the wheat? What about your T22, Ed?
Thanks
Ken
