Brazilton KS | We used to have a couple places which were set up with a base cash rent rate which was about 20% below what we normally paid but with income incentives which would raise it 20% above or even more in a better then average year. The owner later changed to a straight cash rent and I don't recall the exact way we had it written. We also used to have a lot of share crop land but the owners have nearly all chosen to go to cash rent instead, in spite of the fact that share agreements here pay considerably better on average. I have seen situations where share landowners have made as much as three times what they would have recieved in cash rent.
