Disclaimer: I work for a governmental agency that regulates the accuracy of grain moisture meters.


No handheld unit will be as reliable as the meter at the local elevator. Dickey-john does make a model that is really close to their NTEP approved model. It is a table top unit, not portable though. But it should be as accurate as the elevator's. You would have to put it inside somewhere for best results. You can even have the state boys come around and check it with official samples if your state does that.
