Subject: Fertilizer Bid Results

Martinsville, Ohio

I sent out several fertilizer bids for fall need per the discussion we had below and here are the results:

18-46-0 $211.50-$225 per ton

0-0-60- $200-249 per ton

pellet lime $84-110 per ton

90% sulfur varied $3-5 for 20 lbs actual

10% Boron varied the same for one pound actual

20% Zinc varied $1.40-$2.40 per one pound actual

15% Copper varied from $2.50-$4.00 per pound actual

spread yourself all free, some spreaders are junk though

custom applied varied from $4-$7

Low bid varied from $51 per acre actual cost to  $59 per acre on the high bid

Does not take into account getting the job done on time which will be critical

My regular person has not even gotten back to me, must think I am just going to call him up when I need it:)

28% bid from $215 to $245 if I lock it now:(

See, I took your discussion to heart and tried it.

Same variety of Pioneer SRWW varied from $13.75 to $16.00

Certified Hopewell or others $9 to $12 per 60 lb.

"Privates" $8.60-$14.25

This bidding and pricing game is quite some eye opener....
