East Palestine, Ohio (Columbiana Co.) | Mine had a bunch of brown in it also......... I figured I had just waited to long to cut it?? That stuff surprizes me in that 2nd crop doesn't look like there was anything there to cut---and makes 50 bale to the acre. Also about the first dry hay I've made this year with no rain. We got an inch "here" Monday night.
Took a load of oats up the river/lake inter-connector(rte. 11) Tuesday, up to Jefferson. Everything you could see from the road looked to be good shape, all crops and grass green and growing well. Much nicer to look at than last year when things burnt up here. Still cutting grass every 7 days---up from every 5!!
Gonna try to cut 4th alfalfa before the week of rain for Canfield Fair.
How is it up in the flatlands?? You guys need tracks yet??~!(.
