Subject: RE: The Importance of Precision Ag (UAV & Satellite imagery use)

FYI: Information on access of satellite imagery

Satshot.com provides satellite imagery from 30 meter, 20 meter , 15 meter , 10 meter 5-6 meter, 4 meter, 2 meter, 1 meter and 1/2 meter resolution. All have different temporal resolutions as well. We also provide aerial imagery down to 6 inch resolution to 2 meter resolution on a custom order basis.

Satellite imagery is commonly available from within 12-48hrs after the image taken. Satshot also provides instant email notification of imagery of the field boundary once the image is taken and once it hits our cloud servers. You can also bulk analyze hundreds of fields if you are a dealer or have many boundaries right from your cellphone.

You can really get whatever multispectral imagery analytics ( NIR, NDVI,NDVIG, Etc.) you want from space based sensors, but each requirement has a different price point. Satshot also has all the tools in its system to analyze, scout and create VRA maps from the imagery in seconds to export to your machine for VRA seeding, fertilization, fungicide and chemicals application, and creating management zones for soil testing.

UAV's are a great tool but we feel they are best used to see small scale spots for verification of the vegetation condition, if you do not want to or can't walk the field. Satellites can cover millions of acres in minutes. Satellites can see all fields and zoom to the field in question from your desktop or mobile device. Find the anomaly, then diagnose it closer.
