SW Missouri | I for one see the importance for geo referencing, Yes I do as most do know my fields well. I also know where most of the tile are on ground that I've farmed for some time. Where I see the benefit in stitching is, its already possible to do this. And if I have a tile issue I can give the EXACT point to a contractor and not need to waste time meeting with them at the site. Thermal sounds pretty wild and will be a very valuable tool for some things, I don't believe this is the best tool here. Lots of variables to affect temp here, compaction from wheel tracks, slope, crop residue, manure application to name a few. (not to mention EXPENSIVE and gives you no more info for tile then what is already available.)
So what happens if you buy a piece of ground? You won't know where that tile is, and you wont know it like the back of your hand.
Just my 2 cents :) | |
