EC Nebraska | So what story is that film telling? I've been on several controlled burns, including one with old Lowell Moser that wasn't nearly as controlled as I would have liked. So I know what's going on and the purpose behind it. But for someone who know's nothing about it, I don't see how that collections of shots tells a story. I would envision a couple quick ground shots of the thick, dead, residue choking out new growth, a main section with the drone shots showing the progression of the burn from backfire to headfire, and then a few quick shots over the next month showing the luxuriant regrowth.
While the film is visually stunning, it doesn't seem to tell a compelling story.
It'll be interesting to see how it does at the festival. | |
