I'm interested in the highest resolution version 640 x 512 (30Hz)
I'm not interested in the 336 x 256 (too low of res.)
In The Field:
As stress manifests itself > Stomata close > Transpiration Decreases > Temperature rises.
This camera can measure temp. in 1/10 degree F increments.
You should be able to see stress before your humane eye see's it - allowing you to be more proactive in mitigating or stopping the stress.
Has the most application under irrigation where you have more options for stress mitigation.
So much of our "traditional" remote sensing show the results of stress after it's too late. Thermal should give you a head start.
The 640 x 512 is an expensive camera ($10,000).
But, it has almost endless applications other than just agronomy.
Just Google "DJI XT Thermal Camera"..tons of information on it.
There is a lot of "information" out there we can't see. Watch this video to understand the electromagnetic spectrum.

This camera records a wavelength of 700 to 1,400 nanometers
Our visual spectrum is roughly 400 - 700 nm
