Altoona, WI | Consensus on Phantom forums is that the collision avoidance works well, they seem to be built better/stronger, some of the tracking features work so so, but they are too slow, do not have the battery fly time that DJI brags about, and do not have the transmission range that the P3 have. Personally I like the idea of a beefier build but am not willing to give up range or flight time. Collision avoidance and tracking are of no interest to me either. Not interested in taking video of myself and common sense flying will avoid collisions.
The P4 will really cruise in sport mode though but no collision avoidance. I've had my P3 close to 50 MPH in Atti mode with a tail wind. Only recommend flying in that mode in wide open spaces though. It will maintain altitude perfectly but will drift with the wind. | |
