| There's no need to flight twice to have RGB and NIR images. We use AgroCam (http://www.agrocam.eu/) cameras with dual camera setup which means that two cameras (RGB + NDVI) are mounted on an UAV. The cameras take photos at the same time triggered by the filght controller. In this case the shutters are not synchronized therefore the content of the images (RGB, NIR) are not identical, but during post-processing they orthomosaics can be aligned automatically by the processing software (Pix4D Professional) or manually if necessary.
Beside the price it's worth to mention that multi-channel cameras like Sentera usually have low resolution in non-visible wavelength which has effect on ground resoltion, performance (covered area), etc. | |
