It's definitely the caterpillars doing the eating........thousands of them.....white, brown, orange ...all colors of 'em. The fieldman said, in later maturing beans (these are early maturing) that 50% leaf damage should be sprayed. He claimed that these beans would not be hurt much because they will be dropping leaves in less than two weeks anyway. I hope he knows what he's talking about. BTW, the damage in the pix is limited to just a few rows on a corner of the field. I was just concerned about the future spread of these little monsters.
