Subject: Nitrogen application--timing.

Im looking for opinions here. Would you rather apply anhydrous in strip till in the fall or in the spring. I apply no more than 140 lbs of N (actual) to any of my ground. After the damp start to our season here this year I think my corn suffered a bit from nitrate leaching. So my thought is why not just do one pass strip application ahead of the planter as an insurance policy. I've had someone tell me why not just put N serve on with it in the fall. My opinion is that if I want to continue fall anhydrous app. that I will need to bump the rate back up 20 lbs or so. I would rather not do this. What do you think?
