Subject: E. coli outbreak linked to organic farm

For the Reuters article, the outbreak is linked to California-based Natural Selection Foods LLC/Earthbound Farm. Here is a link to Earthbound Farm http://www.ebfarm.com/ As you can see, it one of those new, massive organic farms that have sprung up in California to meet the mass marketing demands of the grocery industry.

So it's all good news, we can relax, the food poisonings and death are natural causes, nothing to get concerned about. Here is a list of the brands they pack that are now being recalled: Dole, Natural Selection Foods, Pride of San Juan, Earthbound Farm, Bellissima, Rave Spinach, Emeril, Sysco, O Organic, Fresh Point, River Ranch, Superior, Nature’s Basket, Pro-Mark, Compliments, Trader Joe’s, Ready Pac, Jansal Valley, Cheney Brothers, Coastline, D’Arrigo Brothers, Green Harvest, Mann, Mills Family Farm, Premium Fresh, Snoboy, The Farmer’s Market, Tanimura & Antle, President’s Choice, Cross Valley, Riverside Farms. From their statement here: http://www.ebfarm.com/press/foodsafe/

No wonder it was hard to track it to one particular brand.

Ahh! Mass market organic foods, guess all those extra flavors from being organic weren't all good.
