Martinsville, Ohio
Yes there are many. One of my favorites is the Ohio Agronomy Guide:
http://ohioline.osu.edu/b472/index.html

If you don't find it easy to understand, we had a course by mail many years ago that let you study by the week, it was simple and easy to understand and I found it very helpful. If I can't it on the web, I think I will as the OSU guys about considering putting in an email format. I meet many people who are interested in such a tool. I thought they had it on their website but I don't see it.

The link is similar information but the 10 week course was more introductory.

I have used that information all my life.
