Subject: RE: Canadian Wheat Board

SW Saskatchewan
I don't know for certain if the wheat board will go. Currently, it is the only regulatory force we have left after the gutting of the Canadian Grain Commission and the Canadian Transportation act. Add in the death of the farmer owned grain companies and without the Wheat Board, we would be operating in an enviroment where there were no farmer protections left.

Our local Conservative MP David Anderson,, who I have supported since he succeeded our popular Reform MP, Lee Morrison, is the leading force for the "kill the Wheat Board" advocates.

David embraces this position, not from an economic or practical position, but from a theological position.

As a theological college graduate, he believes firmly in Deuteronomy as a basis for economics and the grain trade, and he feels the CWB violates this position.

I think he wrong, I would find it difficult to farm without the stability of the Wheat Board, but I support David as an honest and Christian MP.
