Subject: Liquid Vs dry fertilizer from below

Bringing this topic to the top as apparently there is interest beyond my own , and thus bringing it to the top will allow easier viewing. Am going to dedicate a 6rn 900 cyclo to notill and am wanting recommendations. The planter has the factory liquid system hooked to factory coulters.I have a new John Blue squeeze pump that can replace the factory unit. The front row cleaning discs will be replaced with spiked row cleaners, all furrow discs will be checked for size and good bearings and 3 of the seed trench discs will be offset the opposite direction like the 950 and on models. Probably new firming points as well. Would like to put liquid from planter tanks at 5 gal. in the row with the seed. Bill Moyer has suggested two systems with higher gal. added 2x2 off the row but he probably will respond to this post with recommendations. The fertilizer coulters are factory. What else do I need and bear in mind I want low risk ideas, as the rest of the family is anti NT.
