Little River, TX | You broke the code, you would have been better off waiting a few days till the top became dry before applying more nitrogen.
East Texas Story, from near Canton. Fellow was into a Grazing Dairy and had the local fertilizer dealer to apply fertilizer to the pastures every 3 weeks, rain or shine. Well the milk tank started to be a little light and got worse day by day. The Wife figured the fertilizer dealer had not been by in 6 weeks. Dealers rational was it would do no good as it had not rained. After a few words the dealer spread some nitrogen. In 3 days the milk level started to climb back up, and it still had not rained.
Heard this when he & I were both on the TX Farm Bureau Forage Advisory Committee. | |
