Subject: RE: SAME buffalo 130

Many years ago, when I was a callow youth, we bought a used Same Taurus 60 MFWD. (4cylinder) It wasn't a bad tractor but after a few years of it nickle and dimming (sp?) us almost to death, we moved it on. There always seemed to be at least one little thing wrong with it all the time. Never anything major though, if you don't include the front wheel falling off on the silage pit. Lousy casting the mechanic said.

Short summary, good engine, crap transmission, I seem to remember you had to move both shift levers every time to get useful speeds for the tasks we wanted to do. Good cab, questionable hydraulics and an awful pick-up hitch.
