Subject: RE: New Holland combines

N Illinois (I39 & US 30)
We've had a TR86 since it was new. It's a good machine. Let's see.. I've rebuilt about 3 corn head gearboxes, put SCH cutterbar on bean head, feeder house chain last year, I have new clean grain and return elevator chains to put on this winter, 3 unloading auger belts (my fault), several sets of chains all around, bearings here and there over the years. Maybe it's just me, but I have to put a pipe on the concave adj lever in the cab when I change settings. I'm sure I will break the teeth off one of these days. Bought it when the nearest dealer was 12 miles away, then 30, and now 40. I did buy all the service and parts manuals and that has been a big help.
