Near-north Ontario, French River
How many bushels per year are you looking at moving? Sure trucks are handy but if you are only going to move 50,000 bu or less I would just stick with the wagons. Maybe add one more to relieve some of your bottlenecks. I think we all need a lil more information before we start recommending trucks and trailers. Who's going to drive it? Are you or your dad licenced? Insurance costs , repairs ( truck repairs will always cost more then fixing a wagon !)etc. Keep in mind that if you get rid of the wagons, that running a single semi wont gain you much efficiency as when the truck is on the road you will have nowhere to unload your combine, to keep going means you may have to add a grain buggy , and hire someone to run it etc etc.
