Subject: RE: Question about marker lights on top of truck cabs

No big deal but just to set the record straight the three amber lights on top of the cab and in the middle in back of a trailer are called ID lights. They identify the vehicle as a truck. The lights on the side are the marker lights. They mark the side of the truck. I read something lately that there is a new federal law that says you can not have more than three lights on top of the truck cab and they are the three ID lights in the middle. All three of my Frieghtliners have five lights on top of the cab. Three in the middle and one on each side.
