Subject: Skid steer Brush Mower question , low flow or standard flow?

central - east central Minnesota -

Considering the purchase of a brushmower for cleaning up some brush in woodlots / fencelines and clipping grass ditches, cattails (in ditches) and reed canary grass around pond (Brush Wolf - made in Mn). My skidder is a cat 247B - about 15 gal/min hydro flow. I've tryed a regular flow mower and know how it handles it (ok but doesn't cut the long cattails and canary grass very fast or effecient), but am wondering about a low - flow model and if it would perform better or worse then a standard flow. A standard flow mower has blade tip speed of about 10,000 ft/min and the low flow has blade tip speed of about 17,000 ft/min. Would I be giving up tourque (sp?) with the low flow ? If so - would it drasticlly impact the productivity of the machine in grass and how about brush? Have any of you tryed a low flow and a standard flow mower and if so, what are your thoughts? Thanks for your opinions .
