If you use the lower holes, what will this do to the cutterbar on a grain head? It would seem to me that this would nose the cutterbar down a bit. I've got a friend who argues this with me. Is he right?




Remember that the feeder house pivots in front of the cylinder. If you don't change the height or elevation of the of the rear of the feeder house, the angle of the cutterbar should remain the same when at ground level.

Using the lower holes on the rear axle changes the running attitude of the machine but should have no effect on the cutterbar angle of a grain head.

Hope that you didn't bet the farm on this one.
