Subject: cross slot (hard groud issues)


The cross slot relies on weight to get the openers in. If the weight on the toolbar is insufficient,(like a lot of small demo rigs) the hydraulic down force simply pushes the bar into the air rather than the openers into the ground, hence the need for a very heavy toolbar. The only trouble we have is when dry sowing very hard loams, The openers will actually push the back wheels* in the air.(*see photo)
