Subject: DEPRECIATION on new machinery sitting in dealers lot for 1 year?

i am looking at a piece of equipment that is brand new one year ago and dealer is asking the same price as what it was worth last year. his reasons are that machinery has went up so he is giving me a heck of a deal at the old price, yea, ok. the machine was $45,000 last year and he is still asking that amount. what do you machinery gurus out there think i should offer him. it is a vertical tillage tool which is not as popular as most equipment is certain areas. i have used one and instead of renting, want to buy. thankyou for your help on this matter.
