I have a Stihl chain saw, it works okay.  I had a Homelite chain saw and for years it would start after sitting for months.  Finally it died and I got the Stihl which is more powerful and cuts better but starts harder.

Every 2cycle tool I have gets all the gas removed and run dry after I use it.  That seems to have eliminated a lot of my problems.
