Been doing that for years here. Keep them in a pasture I can get them rounded up in and pull cows off end of August. Calves stay with the herd, cows go by by.
If ya take a handful of breds to a sale people wonder what's up here. Plus I don't want to get a bad name selling problems to the next guy. Sell before labor day for best price
