First, If I understand your numbers, I find it hard to believe there are anywhere close to 107 Million "garages" (which I take to mean car mechanic/service establishments) in the US. Seems to me that number is off by an order of magnitude.
Second, brand loyalty has little to do with the fit-finish complaints: I would assume that brand loyalty would be extremely high for a Tesla, given that they are new technology,m purchased at a relatively high cost, many times by owners with an "environmental agenda" and the propensity to "virtue signal" by displaying their concern for the environment by driving an EV. Given all those factors, Tesla/EV owners probably tend to respond to surveys with extremely high loyalty regardless of specific vehicle issues/troubles. Just my humble opinion.
I do not put you, Ed, in those categories, but I would say you are not a "typical" Tesla owner. | |
