Sunnyvale, CA | The antenna used with the EZ-Guide Plus has a gradual fall off in response at 0 degrees antenna elevation and for - elevation angles. it is not like a choke ring antenna in that respect which is designed for survey applicatioins and has a zero response at low and negative antenna angles.. As a result of this design the EZ-Guide Plus antenna ("Hurricane") does a good job as the tractor rolls down the field and some SVs may be below the antenna "horizon". the GPS mask angles are computed from the GPS position in the sky and it has nothing to do with the antenna attitude, because the antenna does not have any roll sensors. The EZ-Steer does have roll sensors and they are not used to mask the GPS satellites, they are only used to correct the position of the track on a side hill. | |
