to do a static test on the EZ-Guide Plus you will need to make yourself a port splitter cable to allow DGPS corrections in and NMEA out. static tests to see how it will work with guidance is not really useful, because with guidance you are usualy interested in the position drift over 15 minutes (or whatever the time you need for a good pass-to-pass accuracy assesment) and a 4 hour scatter plot static test may be much more pessimistic than an actual in-field dynamic test. if the beacon is not far from you location (for example within 100 miles), it will almost always give better results than WAAS. because we are in the low part of the sunspot cycle, the beacon correction and WAAS correction are both really good over extended distances and you will should see great performance no matter which DGPS source you use. The beacon has an advantage since it is not blocked by trees.
