There's 560 spindles per head X 6 in a Pro16 equip6 row. 16 front-12 rear bars X 20 spindles, doffers, pads. Tom

Far far too many bits and pieces to do a simple job of removing bolls/lint and containing it.
A simple stripper head combing or brushing the bolls/lint off the stem and a good cleaning system makes a heck of a lot more sense.
Now keep in mind fellas that this is coming from someone that knows dick about cotton harvesting. I'm just trying to think logically here.
I've seen cotton pickers with their fancy spindles etc at the various farm shows and all that machinery makes me want to scratch my noggin.
