I find that the NOAA weather prognosticators are wrong the majority of the time. When I see a "20% chance of rain" now, I translate that to "100% chance of getting only 20% of the precipitable moisture they estimate." They're worst than useless.
And here in Nevada, there really aren't any alternatives.
