Times have changed, all the old mechanics that designed JD equipment are long gone and they have engineers just like everyone else. Now their equipment has less weight, worse fuel efficiency, lighter bearings, on and on, than many of the competition.
If AGCO, NH et. al. were just a little smarter, with fewer business school graduates, in management, they would out sell JD despite their reputations of 30 to 50 years ago. | |
