Sorry I should have elaborated.  After the failure of the code I pasted BART's code back into BART and explained the error I received.  BART then gave me a new code, it didn't work either.

After that failure I pasted that code into BART and explained it didn't work and where the error occurred, BART then said to check with a Libreoffice support group.

I just wanted to make a macro that I could execute simply.  One that would start in a cell, accept input, place that input into another cell and if that cell had data it would then place it in the next empty cell down.  Then it would ask if I wanted to input more, if not it would end.
