It was absolutely in the moisture........my point is to say that shallow planting is better every time is absolutely not true. We plant to moisture here, we have planted corn and wheat 3"+ deep, if the moisture is right at the top we still plant corn 2-2.5" deep
I agree with jd4930, nothing ever comes out good planting corn less then 1.75” We’re in low river bottom land hear in central Wisconsin and plant corn at least 2” If we get to much rain after planting and it drowns out, it’s gonna drown out weather it’s 1” or 2” deep.
