If you're thinking of one of the old gators I'm thinking your price range would down the line of a 4010? I agree with the other poster on the 3010 being cold blooded.
Have had 2 of the older style for 7-8 years and I don't think you'll find anything more reliable. Just got a 16 Pro fxt and it is awesome but probly more than you want to spend...
