Subject: RE: Yields unchanged here

Western Minnesota
I understand but my point is USDA gives us the same baseline and the Market makes the adjustments (todays system ) is much more efficient than USDA trying to adjust their baseline.

So according to this site this spring USDA needed to Reduce their acreage because there was NO WAY with all of the snow around we were ever going to get this crop in, then it seems to be going in but the wet spots are never getting planted, to now there is NO WAY with this ongoing drought we will ever get anything near trend and some are talking that 160 is out the window now.

if USDA had started with your wants most here would be demanding they drop yield again, Some would be saying that USDA started knowing this crop was going to be bad so instead of 160 they need to be at 155.

USDA job is to give us base line the Market job is to adjust it for current conditions.
