The pedal is just an on off switch. Not analog so nothing adjustable.
The wheel has to be stationary to engage steering. Possible sometimes when you are pressing pedal to engage that the wheel is still turning? Either you just let go of the wheel or does the tractor have reactive steering where it gradually recenters the steering to point straight ahead on its own?
