SmarTrax MD actually uses a little different design, it's not just a momentary on-off switch. It's actually 2 switches. As one circuit completes, another opens when the switch is engaged, and then opposite when the switch is released, so two circuits are being monitored on the switch for some reason. I'm with you on the wheel turning idea, that or just hold the switch a bit longer.
