Central Kansas | I have reduced my choices for a new mower for 3 acres of fescue lawn and trees….one steep ditch side…to these 2: Hustler Raptor XD 54” with Kawa engine and Bad Boy ZT Elite same size and engine. Bad Boy is more money, better suspension and easier access to belts, etc. Actual bad boy dealers are scarce with most sales in this area from TSC and Bomgaars. Hustler made 40 miles from me and 2 dealers within 35 miles. Hustler has larger rear tires which might be better in slopes.
I have never owned, nor operated a zero turn machine, using JD lawn tractors for years. Now 79 y.o. and would like to speed up the mowing time a little. Would appreciate any input comparing these 2 machines. I realize there are many other choices but for my price range, availability and potential parts and service, I am with these 2. | |
