Subject: RE: Zero turn mower comparison

Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS

I bought a Hustler Raptor in 2014, 54" deck. So far (IIRC) I have replaced the blades three times, the mower belt once, the drive belt once, the front deck height adjustment bolt once, and just replaced the battery for the first time. Other than that just oil change and filters once a year. Never have to add oil. I mow the church lawn (about 3 acres with about 30 trees and bushes to mow around), the student center lawn (just a city lot), and my lawn (larger city lot). Oh, almost forgot. One new set of spark plugs just because I thought it was time. Also occasionally do a church member's lawn when he is under the weather.

At the time I bought the Hustler other available dealers were JD, Toro, and Xmark. For the money I spent it was the best deal available. For what I perceived as the same quality in the other brands I would have had to spend $500-1,000 more. Bad Boy and Kubota dealerships have become available since then.
