| I was going from lace up to slip ons for certain occasions. I wanted an easy on, easy off. I found slip ons worst with my wide feet and would fight to get them on. I tried these:

Sorry, not what you were asking for, but I liked these when I was searching for what you were looking for. Took awhile to break in. Leather color looks good after wear. I liked so much I bought another pair to break in. Wore with dress pant to been ankle deep in mud. Good trend on ice. Pretty good substitute. I usually wear Carolina Loggers.
