East Central Arkansas | I had carpal tunnel surgery a few years back and had the same thoughts about being able to tie my boots. I bought a pair of Muck leather slip on boots to wear. I actually used them very little as I was able to tie my shoes with the bandage I had on the hand. This was the surgery they actually make a incision and stitch up. I think the main thing the doctor said was keep clean, be careful and don't do anything that makes it hurt to bad. Whatever they do to releave the pain for the surgery lasted several days in that hand so be carefull. I went through fireman training soon after having it done. I crawled through the blackout obstacle as the follow man of my partner holding his turnout leg and using my forearm to crawl. Don't over due it and give it time to heal. It took several months for all the numbness from surgery to go away but it really helped my pRobles and should have done it sooner. | |
