| Seems like certain brands or blends of salad mix lasts longer than other. I like lettuce but my wife doesn't, we've been married 52 yrs & I've never seen her eat any form of lettuce, cabbage yes but not lettuce.,Large bags of salad mix mix she buys at Sam's seem to have a lot ger life than the small bags she buys at the local grocery store. Not sure if that is because Sam's has a bigger turnover therefore the salad mix is fresher or what. Have had the small bags from local stores go bad in a day or two & the larger bags from Sam last almost a week. One thing I find that helps to extend its life after opening is leave it in its original bag & put that in a zip lock bag, being sure to get as much air out as possible before closing the zip lock bag. | |
