John, I wish you'd try a bit of bread made from stone ground flour, and pasturized but not homoginized dairy products. You'd be amazed. I'm an ex dairy farmer and love my dairy but I've come to believe It's the processing that causes much of  the so called lactose intolerance. Several in my circle have it  but when a local Ice Cream store started having Premium Ice cream made from pasturezed but unprocessed products they can all eat it.
